Tripping electric

If the washer is beginning to trip the rcd or blow the fuse , cut off the moulded plug ( if fitted ) and fit with a standard plug to eliminate any problems with the moulded plug. You could unplug the plug lead from the mains filter and if it still trips then it`s the plug or mains filter.

I ALWAYS UNPLUG FROM MAINS.

Remove 2 screws from lid , push the lid as shown then lift up.

Check the mains filter for any burning signs as shown.

If it`s a washer dryer then do the same with the dryer heating element , remove the terminals and insulate in tape then try the appliance.

You can check the motor by unpluging it but the machine may not run without it.

Check the door interlock for any burnt wires.

Check the thermisters on the washer heating element and the dryer heater box.If you unplug the thermisters and try the machine , it could come up with the error code F03.
