Tripping electric
If the washer is beginning to trip the rcd or blow the fuse , cut off the moulded plug ( if fitted ) and fit with a standard plug to eliminate any problems with the moulded plug. You could unplug the plug lead from the mains filter and if it still trips then it`s the plug or mains filter. |
I ALWAYS UNPLUG FROM MAINS.
|
Check the mains filter for any burning signs as shown. |
If it`s a washer dryer then do the same with the dryer heating element , remove the terminals and insulate in tape then try the appliance. |
You can check the motor by unpluging it but the machine may not run without it. |
Check the door interlock for any burnt wires. |
Check the thermisters on the washer heating element and the dryer heater box.If you unplug the thermisters and try the machine , it could come up with the error code F03. |
Check the wiring loom for rubbing on the cabinet and check for any leaks that could get onto the electrics if all else fails , change the module. |
