Pump runs for a second then stops.

The problem is that the pump runs for 1 second then stops . If the pump runs again then stops it`s probably the brushes .

If the brushes are ok then it`s probably a washer dryer and the dryer thermister ,or wiring , is at fault .Check the wiring for any loose wires ,check the tie wrap attached to the cabinet. This fault can also be displayed by all the lights on the display flashing and the only way to know is to swap the thermister.

There are 2 types of thermister . The old type which is the same as the wash heater thermister . The new type which lasts longer . There is no way round it the thermister has to be replaced ( if it`s faulty )or the diagnostics will pick it up . The easiest way to check is to plug a new thermister in and let it dangle and try the machine.

On the new heaterbox the thermister just pulls out without the need to remove any of the components.

Remove the support , if fitted , by removing the four screws .

You can check the motor by unpluging it but the machine may not run without it.

Remove the screws from around the heater box indicated on the photo . Prise open the heater box.

It`s a bit tricky with the tie wrap .Then pull the thermister out . If need be cut off the tie wrap and completely lift up the top of the heater box .Watch the rubber bung on the heater terminals.

Here is the offending article . Note the rubber seal around the thermister , make sure this is swapped over to the new one.
