I have been repairing domestic appliance for over 25 years and my knowledge has been recorded on this site .

Hotpoint Indesit dryer thermostat replacement

Not heating or dead.

I ALWAYS UNPLUG FROM MAINS. Remove 2 screws from lid (shown in picture.)


Push lid ( as shown in diagram ) until it moves back then lift lid.It can be very tight and can need a hard push.

Remove the four screws as shown in the picture.Then remove the screw at the top of the side panel ( near the front ).


The side panel will slide to the rear of the machine then lift up to remove.

Disconnect the heater plug ( See picture ). This is a CTD00 model , with a digital version the plug will fit straight into th PCB.


Remove the two screws from the shaft cover ( see picture ).

Remove the screws from the heater cover . Then using a flat bladed driver prise the cover away from the rear panel to remove the heater cover and heater (mind the heater wires ).


The heater cover should look like this.

Remove the two screws and release the plastic clip and the heater should come out.
THE HEATER IS VERY FRAGILE.


The thermostats,are shown in the picture. Please take note of the coloured spot.
