Hotpoint chassis repair kit

I ALWAYS UNPLUG FROM MAINS.
Lie the machine down on it`s side and look at the suspension ,unscrew the bolts that attaches the suspension to the cabinet.You can clearly see that the cabinet has cracked arount the hole ,in the picture.

This is the `chassis repair kit` C00202585 it is very expensive for what it is ,so if you can modify 4 pieces if steel plate (circled).Don`t forget to bend the tabs on the old suspension ,arrowed.

If your fitting the new shock absorber then the pin will have to be removed .

There are 2 plates to be fitted on each shock absorber , place one on the inside of the cabinet `as shown`.Note the tab bent.
