No water in bottleI ALWAYS UNPLUG FROM MAINS.Remove the condenser by turning the clips and pulling it out.I reached in the condenser right to the back and the water should be collecting in the rear(there should be a pool of water). |
Right at the back of the condenser compartment ,as shown in the picture is a hole and a groove . Remove any of the fluff ( give it a good clean) in there as the water flows through the hole to the base where the pump is. |
Next go round the back. If you take the other side panel off then the clips can be seen to remove the pump cover . There are 2 types of pump cover and this is the old type. |
Once the cover is removed the pump, water level switch can be seen. This is the new style pump. The old style comes in a kit to convert to the new style. The water is pumped up the black or white tube to the bottle and if the bottle is full is runs back down the clear tube. |
When the assembly is removed the float / pump can be seen in more detail. When the water level rises it raises the polystyrene float and operates the switch to tell say that the water level is too high. |
Remove any fluff from the plastic base and check the hole as seen in the picture .Pour some water in the top ( where the bottle goes ) and it will run into the base ,check the water is pumped up to the bottle later. |
This is the condenser . This it a very important part of the dryer , it will not work without it . |
