Hotpoint Indesit condenser dryer capacitor
image one The motor needs a bit of a kickstart so if the drum doesn`t turn (possibly with load in ) then change capacitor. Unplug from the mains I Removed 2 screws from lid (shown in picture.)


I Pushed lid ( as shown in diagram ) until it moved back , then lifted the lid off . image two


image three I removed the four screws as shown in the picture.Then removed the screw at the top of the side panel (near the front).


The side panel will slide to the rear of the machine then lift up to remove . image four


image five The capacitor is secured by one screw just below it.


The size of capacitor is measured in uF (micro farads), this one is 8uF. They are usually between 7uF and 9uF ,except for the 3kg driers which are about 5uf . image six
