I have been repairing domestic appliance for over 25 years and my knowledge has been recorded on this site .

The information in this site is free for anyone to read as you wish as long as you read and understand the smallprint.

These pages are demonstrations of how i repair various faults.

Dishwasher turbine

The turbine measures the amount of water.It spins with the water and calculates the amount of water.X amount of turns per litre ( whatever the water pressure ).

Open the door and remove the screws from the left hand side.


Remove the plynth, this can be a bit tricky (lie on it`s back ).

Remove the screw from behind the plynth.


Remove the side casing and the front side panel clip can be seen this needs to be released.

Once the , left hand , side panel is removed the metering tank can be seen.


This is the turbine and it spins as the water enters the machine and the reed switch counts the revolutions (the turbine is inside the metering tank and has to be replaced as a complete unit.

To remove the metering tank remove the screw fix from inside the machine.


The metering tank is secured by means of a lug , the top of the metering tank must be pulled away from the machine and pulled up to release the lug (arrowed).

The metering tank can now be released and dropped down.Note the lug arrowed.


Now remove the wire connector and inspect and remove the water hose(the water hose can be twisted off ). Now job done refit in reverse order.
